Power Everything. Plug-N-Play? Surely you jest! Thank God I've spent the past 12 years chasing Gremlins out of Sub-$1K Mopars. Got a Factory Service Manual and I'm armed with a Box-O-Terminals. Just picked up a Butane soldering iron. Stil, This is gonna be a test. Last time you guys saw this car it was brownish. This was $35 and a roller.
Alright! Got the old harness out and it only required minimal hacking. Fur Biscuit stopped by and took turns helping pull terminals and snaking things through grommets. The only wiring currently in place is to a grounding block on the frame and the wiring to the power windows (Gotta figure out how to make 1 wire in the EZ-Wiring kit become about 16. The rear harness, engine and front light harness, and dash harness are all sprawled out on my living room floor. It's like modern art or something. I'll post pics when we get the fuse block mounted later. 21 circuits instead of about 5. And cripes! have you seen how many relays and junction blocks are on one of these cars? I'll post pics of hte inner fender sometime. I think about half of it is dedicated solely to the gas-pedal starter switch.
Gonna go get a huge screened in awning tomorrow so I can keep working in the rain. Currently debating about whether or not to retain the junction blocks on the Rad. support to the front harnesses or just run 'em straight. Suppose I should leave those kind of decisions up to her. I also dug out the Duster's old harness so if I need lengths of wire to jump between relays and stuff I can snip off lengths of like color.
Keep me updated on how "EZ" it actually is, I have an EZ Kit for my 55 Roadmaster I gotta put in, p/w & p/s w/350/350 in it.
