We have a 51 f2 we are swapping a 302/aod into and the customer wants power steering. It's a tight budget build, so we don't mind scrounging junkyards, but what steering gearbox/ column could we use and keep the straight axle? Anybody try a 73-79 ford truck box? Fabrication isn't a problem, just looking for any and all help. Thanks all!

  3. Don't know how close a 51 is to 59, but done the toyota swap, worked out like a Jem! $75 box from the upul lot, a little fabrication on the bracket, (not Rocket engineering) and 100 bucks for the hoses, yea the hoses kinda still have my *** chapped.
