Here's my little truck. Old street racer from the 70's. Had a hemi in it back then. 6-71 blown dart 406 in it now.
Hoping for very low 10's maybe a 9 this year.

    Hello,

Upon arriving at Lions Dragstrip after a 4 year hiatus, I was taking movies of my friend, Atts Ono’s 40 Willys debut race.

In 1964, the famous orange, Lions timing tower was now yellow and the bleachers were larger. There was even a new concrete barrier on the strip.

All of the hot local So Cal gas coupes and sedans were in attendance. Ryan was kind enough to post the original movie on The Jalopy Journal that I sent him a year ago about this particular day at Lions. One of my favorites was the red Willys pickup truck from the C&O Hydro Garage. It had the proportions to make it a fast one in the B/Gas class. We still had our 58 Impala that was the recipient of one of the first C&O Hydros in a stock car. So, yes, that Willys truck was in our favorites book.

The Arioso Bros. Willys coupe was known to be fast, but on this day, the red, Willys pickup from C&O was a tad bit faster.
