Hello my name is David from So Cal…fairly new to this site but wanted to say hello & offer to share my 65 Riviera build pix. I have never built a car before so tons of learning as I go. Guys over at the Rivi site have helped tremendously but I get the feeling some of the purists may be cringing at what I'm doing more than enjoying it. Nothing crazy here but I'm def not a "purist"

    So let me know…

    Regards,
    David

Welcome. Interested in what you are going to do with your Riv. What mods?

    Hello 392modela

Mt94ss, I am one year into my build now and I can post a build thread if you'd like. I never thought I was gonna go this far so I keep telling myself to keep it simple, nothing crazy.

    Stuff I have done:
    • Had engine rebuilt/bored .060 over & painted it red with polished alum & black accents
    • ripped the body off to paint the frame
    • rebuilt the suspension w/ 2" Gran Sport spec'd lowering springs & Bilstein shocks
    • front disc brake conversion
    • pulled out most of the interior & A/C stuff

    Planning to:
    • repair rust on floor, paint & peel/stick
    • undercoat the body
    • make block out plates for firewall
    • marry the body with the chassis
    • replace all rubber seals to keep the water out

go ahead and post the build thread. I'm curious to see the front disc conversion and to see if you had any problems with it. Looking at the Wilwood Brake Conversion for my 64.

    Thanks!
