Hello everyone, as the former starter at Wichita Int'l Raceway from 1999-2013, it is time to get out and have some fun instead of all work, no play. I hope to have my car accepted to participate in this years H.A.M.B. Drags! It is a genuine 60s survivor, a 1963 Don Tuttle chassis (California Chassis Engineering) front engine dragster with a Hilborn injected small block Chevy engine. Here is a pic of it, photo by Steve Giangreco. When abouts do they start accepting registrations? Thanks, Gene
Gene, That FED of yours certainly IS beautiful! In addition to the HAMB drags, you really should check out the Meltdown Drags. www.meltdowndrags.com It is '66 and earlier cars and criteria (which your car meets perfectly) and three days of drag racing. No trophys, no prize money, no whining, just lots of fun grudge racing old and new friends. Lots of match racing. Everybody gets in as many passes as they want. Its the closest thing to a real 1966 drag meet without actually having a time machine...
