I just bought a 1955 Chevy stepside big back window pickup truck. It already has a 350cid engine, 400 Turbo transmission, and a 10-bolt rearend. I haven't messed around with a hotrod for over 50 years. I learned how to drive on a '55 chevy pickup, and this buy has been on my bucket list ever since I retired. Oh, by the way I'm 70! My son, who is 48, is stoked to be part of this continued restoration. The '55 sits on its original frame and steers like a Mac truck. So, the first order of business to upgrade the frame with a newer S-10 frame or a front clip from a Camaro/Trans AM. I have learned alot already from this site and other Chevy Truck forums but I'm sure to need more help on this restoration.
