A friend just sent me a link to a website that has a zoomable interior panorama of a B-36 cockpit. It looks like it was taken in the USAF National Museum at Wright-Patterson in Dayton, Ohio - awesome!

The comments below came with the email - I hope you enjoy.

Nice old shots. If you are interested in old R.I.historic hot rods, take the time to look at this. YouTube video: 1939 Ford -Crazy Willy gets his car back after 45 years. This car is still being driven around R.I. Hope to see you at a local cruise night. Crazy Willy Ouimette

  7. My Grandad had a Standard Station and tourist cabins in Scapoose Oregon. He bought a green Special Deluxe brand new in 1950, a fantastic car!
When he died our family inherited the car and drove it for another 18 years. In all that time that car NEVER failed, it ran flawlessly.
I really want to own one before I go!

Do you have any old pictures of it when you had it the first time?

This was taken in about 1940, I believe it was at a St Louis Cardinal's game in St Louis (Grandpa was a Cards fan)

I first thought snow, but with short sleeves, dresses, shorts and sandles, I am guessing white sand or salt?

This is a picture of the Mackinac (Mackinaw) bridge between Michigans two peninsulas with 83 Olds each carrying a beauty queen from one county of Michigan.

  22. That would've been only a year or so after the bridge opened in '57. I remember hearing about lines of cars waiting to go to the U.P. probably for hunting season, that extended 1/3 of the way or more back to Cheboygan before the bridge was built. The only way across the straits at that time was by ferry.

That's Hudson's at Northland Center just north of Detroit. First "shopping center" ever built in the US.
