Well, a few months back I posted a thread looking for any history on this old Nova. I was hoping to find out where it had been before it went into storage in the early 1970's and by storage, I mean before it was pushed under a tree.

We're not too sure what the car's past held, but in the 60's it was clipped. Whoever built it put a very nice set of rails and tubes in it. It's riding on a 1947 Dodge firetruck front end installed when the car was first gutted for racing. It used to run a small block, 4 speed, and posi 12-bolt. The radiused quarters where patched only because they were done so poorly originally. Once that chrome molding was pulled off, it looked as though the body work was done with a hatchet.

My Dad stumbled onto this car about 8 years ago and finally had the chance to start working on it this year. Now that it's almost finished, we're curious what you think.

UPDATE: She's being featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines next month. Take a sneak peak here:

These are the first photos taken of the car when it pulled out of the garage yesterday, before being rinsed quickly. I'm hoping to get some photo to show the paint a little better.

Thanks for all the compliments! As to the rear, I'm not sure how much further it can come down. I have to get some sunset photos of this car, the different light changes the entire character of the paint.

    Hey,

Thanks alot! I found the 63 for my dad about two years ago. It was sitting in a garage for about 26 years when I found it. It was completely disassembled and we've been putting it back together like an old revell kit. Now that the Nova is finally done, I think it is the next car he's going to get back together. After seeing this one, I'm anxious to see the vette finished. Maybe someday I'll finish one of mine too...

If you subscribe to Hemming's Muscle Machines, take a look at Febuary's issue. They put my Dad's car on page 82 or 92 and the photographer took some very nice shots that I could never duplicate.
