S10 T5 install question in a 49 F1 pickup. Will the stock U joint yoke fit up ok to the spline tail shaft and housing of the T5? Thanks Guys

No, you will need the T-5 yoke and I think a conversion U joint. The drive shaft needs to be shortened to the correct length anyway.

  3. The yoke is different than you original. When I put the t-5 in my Shoebox I had to have the driveshaft shortened 5/8". Since they had to cut the end of the shaft off anyway. I had them put the correct end on the shaft so I wouldn't need a conversion u joint. I figure it would be easier to find a s10 u joint the next time I have to replace them.

When getting a new driveshaft made, the yoke is the same for a turbo 350/saginaw...pretty standard/easy to find at local driveshaft/transmission places.
