This has been sitting at my dads house for years now. We don't know much about it other it looks like a WHOLE lotta FUN! It has a bolt on cage which would make it a late 50's car I think. Quick Change, knock offs, looks to be a well built car. We have been considering a mild restoration so we could take it out to the vintage races. We have a couple injections units, what is there other then tires, bearings, brakes, motor, and a fuel system? (seat belts, grease, rubber....i guess its a big list) Here's a few pics: <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
That's a pretty good car. It's a "Buggy sprung front" chassis, which is really desirable.. meaning it has a leaf spring up front of coarse. It has a lot of the "hard to find" stuff, Mianly wheels, tires, and brakes. Your correct on the Chassis maybe being as old as 50's. By the looks of the brakes, shoulder harness, hood, cage, and shocks it was raced well into the 70's. It's a good "find" and you should get it out and play with it. Best thing to do: Roll it out, clean it up, grease and oil everything, get it all working, drop a small block chevy with a CARBURETOR on it and have some fun!!! Then later upgrade to an injection unit. There is no reason to "upgrade" anything if it works. It handled 100 MPH in the dirt when it was new, it'll be fine today. Even the tires are actually okay to run for a while. They may be cracked and rotted, but you gotta remember there HARDER THAN THE BACK OF SUPERMAN'S HEAD!! There fine for playing. Thanks for sharing, and let me know if you need any parts. Joshua Shaw
That is so cool. We dont have anything close to that in sweden at all,no dirt tracks here,only for horses.
Nance rearend...and looks to be airhart brakes...schroder steering maybe?....they needed that big ol steering wheel to muscle em in the turns.....could be a nance frame or possibly a cae...hard to tell...strip it...clean er up make everything work...join a vintage race club and have a blast!
I m not an expert by any means but I remember cars like that running in the early 70's My dad had an Ex Tubby Black car with a chrome bolt on cage in the early to mid 70's that was a very competitive car.
Yes, that's right, but I don't have any info on it? Anyone know? <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
It's actually NanCe. The're long out of business now. They made their own version of side plates, axles and such for Hali. and Cae Q/Cs.
Are you going to sell the wheels? I am restoring a old sprint car and need a set. If selling give me p price. Thanks Trammel
