I started building this machine in Dec 2012 and got it finished just hours before the Indy Road Rocket Rumble in June 2013. I decided to go back on the lower body and straighten all those little spots that I missed and give it a new look Here's a shot from when I got it finished last summer and a shot from yesterday while the clear was still wet. As a general rule, stripes/scallops are not my favorite, but you have done it spot on. I like that a lot. Great job !
Love the scallops. Reminds me a bit of Kirk's May Cause Dangerous, less the lace of course. Looks damned good.
Well I think I faired pretty well in my public debut with the new paint. Got everything finished and ****oned up Thursday morning at 5am and headed to the Indy Road Rocket Motorama 1962 later that morning. Nice neat cool car! and congrats on the Peoples Choice Award! I think that of all the awards given out at shows any car or truck or machine that wins the Peoples Choice is the best awarded vehicle as this means the common folks love it, may not be perfect, may have character issues, may not be by the numbers, or better yet, may not be able to cl***ify it in a specific type of vehicle, but the PEOPLE still love it above any other vehicle! GREAT JOB!!!
