I'm looking to buy a 54 Pilothouse and I'd like to keep it old school. I'm thinking I could flip the spring perches in the rear for 3"-4" but the front is different. I have to consider steering geometry and such things. What would be my best plan of attack? I've considered a Crown Vic swap, I'd get ride, handling, steering, and disc brakes in one move and it sounds like a no brainer, but I just dig old school sometimes. Anyway, advise me oh ye who have been there.
For the front the traditional method is a dropped axle, I hear that Sid is the man. http://www.droppedaxles.com/ Flipping or moving the spring perches in the rear would work, you could also try removing some leaf's before taking drastic measures. The Crown Vic swap is an option, but its not encouraged on here, and has a very wide track width.
