I need to know what the tooth count (on the small gear) is on the main window regulator on this truck. I don't have my window regulators with me and I need to buy some window motors to do a conversion. I know I can count on a HAMBer to help me out.

Wouldnt you need to know the diameter of the gear and size of the teeth ect. as well?
It may be easier to use the actual gear you have on a motor, hopefully someone will chime in with "all" the info you need to get the job done.

I wanted to help but your gonna hafta give me a easier question.:D

I already know which application has the motors I need....but there are two different tooth counts (early vs. late). I want to make sure I order the correct ones.
About the hard question, thanks for wanting to help and I'll keep you in mind when the question is easier. :D

I'll bet I could....but there has to be someone that has taken one apart. If I don't have an answer by Thursday I'll have to go get mine out of storage.

I looked at a regulator out of a 56 car, I can't see the teeth on the little gear. They look just like the truck regulators, except for the shaft being made for a clip instead of a set screw.

I used to have a truck regulator somewhere...it's hiding pretty well since I reorganized my shop.

OK I just went out in the garage (11 degrees out) and pulled that cover lip back on a junk 55 car one I had and It has 6 teeth, probably the same like squirrel said but I couldnt confirm it without taking one out of the 55 truck out there:D

Just out of curiousity would you care to elaborate a little more and share what you are talking about, for future reference for others.

Yeah, but are you making your own set up or? seems like if you were ordering a kit of some sort, the supplier would already know what you need.
