Yea like everybody else fast. Last time I checked A/G rules in the 60s was 5 lbs per ci you would have to have 680 cubic inches to be compe***ive at that weight. We are talking about a 6 lbs rule in our deal you would have to have somewhere around a 540 ci at 6 lbs. You would have been in trouble back in the day, and I believe you are going to be in trouble come July.

The U-Haul is buried in a snowbank and wouldn't start if we hooked it to a nuclear reactor...

Oh by the way.... I hate you right now...

    I second that!!!!

I was working in a place that was the coldest spot in all of North America a couple of weeks ago....it got so cold that the power steering hoses were exploding when we tried to drive the trucks....so yeah,we sometimes get a limited amount of work accomplished on our cars in the winter months....:(

    Hey Okie Doker....
You mentioned painting something on the back of your car....better do it with water paints so it is easy to come off. Are you painting a pair of sandals and surf board on the back....

  6. I think he's getting a tramp stamp installed :p

His water paints are probably frozen anyhow since he is in Illinois.

It warmed up to almost 0degF here right now...

  7. You slayed me with the "nuclear reactor" jump start, I'm still cracking up. I feel for ya brother, but the "bad voices" made me rub in the weather down here in "Sunny California".

  8. -21 This morning in the middle of Wisconsin. All this talk about being overweight make my Fiat feel anorexic. At 1340 lbs it is a 1/3 the weight of you big boys.

So if I strive for 6 pounds per cubic inch. My car could stand to lose 800 pounds.

  13. According to my 1964 rulebook a/a is 3.00-6.59 lbs per cu inch. That means 903-1983 lbs. for me. I am right in the middle.:D

  23. So you want to see and here what was going on late in the day at the 2012 Meltdown?
Here is a movie I took from inside the Koopmeiners & Sons gold 55.
I forgot it was rolling and it ran until the card was full in the Go Pro. Enjoy!

Wholly **** Johnny... need to photoshop those wheels before the MDA sees 'em  That was a couple years and a couple hundred horsepower ago ;) I meant to say forearm because anyone who will put their engine on "High C" and dump the clutch needs both testicals :D. Also, can't give up the right forearm or it is too hard to row the gears!

My GOD!!! You Canadians must be superhuman.. Beer with huge alcohol content that you guys drink like water PLUS.. are able to survive in temperatures that would kill a polar bear!! My hat is off to you.. (but only for a quick second since my bald head will freeze:D)

MDA... you listenin'? Anyone local know of a set of portable scales (I don't think the track has a set?) Not sayin' weighing cars is a "rule" so to speak but it would be interesting to see who is willing to step on the scales and show what their stuff really weighs. Not accusin' anyone of exaggerating but you know what they say... The first liar doesn't stand a chance... :D

Mine lists a manufacturer's shipping weight of 2725 lbs,but you can probably add 1000 to that just from patch panels, brazing rod, bondo, and old 8-track tapes that got lost under the seats...:D

  27. Super proud of you for putting a stick in your 55 1/2 Chevy, but that cast iron 833 may have tipped the scales in the wrong direction. Time for some counted measures.

I sense a Roadkill style episode here ... "G***er Hack"

Make a p***... Pull off the front end
Make a p***... Yank the doors and deck lid
Make a p***... Put Trish in the driver seat (that should lighten it up a 100 or so)
Make a p***... Run out of parts to unbolt ?? Drink a lot of Canadian Beer and dive in with the saws-alls and dull axes...

We'll get'r into the 9's for ya son.

We may even help you load the parts when we're done.

The MDA is always listening. The track has a scale.
