I need a supplier for German Square weave wool carpet ( whatever that is ) for my next project. I have seen it in cars and liked it a lot. Or, is there a comparable carpet. Any suggestions

Scroll though one of the magazines on the magazine rack that caters to German cars especially those starting with P. They usually have adds for suppliers of carpet and other materials.

    Ever Google? http://worlduph.com/info/upholstery/

Just curious, Is it extremely more costly than say plush or closed loop carpet?

There are 3 or 4 big players in the wool carpet, world, global, lebarron bonney, hirsch, but they have a surprisingly small inventory and its $70 to $90 a square yard. Go to a high end home carpet store and look at the wool carpet there, they have 10 times the inventory and it $40 to $70 a yard.

I Don't think square weave is wool. Try LeBarron-Bonney in M***.
