Olds would be a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Chevy would be 5 on 4-3/4.

    That would be a pointer.

It is most definitely a 55-64 Chevrolet rear end. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Olds/Pont axle tubes ar "oblong" and "tapered". The rear you have is not. I would guess 55-64 Chevy

The housing, especially modified like it is, isn't worth much, but someone may be interested in the center section. Find out what ratio it is.

In my neck of the woods, a non posi ' 55-'64 rear seem to be worth $125.00-$250.00 depending on what shape its in.

They are OK if you don't beat on them. They aren't very stout behind a 4 speed though. Ask me how I know.

I was going to use 1 a few years ago , didn't have brake drums or backing plates , the cost of those alone made me switch to ford 8", got $100 w/o brakes, so I'd say they're worth at least that to the tri-five crowd.

It will need new leaf spring pads or whatever to mount in a different car, but that is a popular swap for 49-54 Chevy with open drive conversion.

Here is a 9.3" Olds compared to a 55 to 64 Chevy rear.
The Chevy was in my 57 Corvette G***er , the Olds is in it now.
There is a major size difference.
