Technical 1936 Ford Car Vs Truck Frame

    Hello.. Searced but didnt find anything!

    Does anyone now if the 36- frame is the same for passenger cars and pickup trucks?

    or can they be made to fit whit minor changes?

    All cars and pickups with buggy springs are practically the same 35-40 and 41 pickups . big truck is different. Minor differences in body mounts and obviously hydraulic brakes from 39 , but your 36 pickup will go on a 36 car frame, no problem. Pickup frames changed to parallel leaf springs in 42, car chassis was still buggy sprung but different to the earlier ones from 41.

    Cars have body mounts on the outside of the frame. These can be taken off or added as necessary to swap the frame.
