Just got her home! First Light she has seen in a while!
Bone Stock Except for the Spoiler so I guess it can be on the HAMB :)
I went to look at a 1966 Jim Davis Dragster --Could not buy the dragster but this was right beside her and well...it follwed us home. That is Dad in the picture.
Owner had stored it right , no gas, etc . We filed the points, added fuel, put a battery in and was driving it around the barn 30 minutes after we got her off the trailer.
2014 Looks like it will be a good year!

Nice find. Would love to find an A truck and keep it original. Lucky guys!

  5. Great find,

Hard to believe it's that original and some dufus stuck that stupid looking spoiler on the truck. HRP

  6. Yeah....didn't that guy know that all you have to do for speed is to lower the tailgate, not add a spoiler??

I love the 28/29 A pickups. I heard that you have to have short legs to drive them.

Great find! Keep the spoiler. It will attract the youth, that everyone's worried about.

I am near 6 ft about 225 and it is all I can do to get behind the wheel . The seat has been recovered and they always "poof" them up --Factory seat was way better for room. With me and Dad in there it is Close. They are as cool as you can get though and I found this one by accident. Guess we will play awhile and then let her to someone that has really been looking for just the right truck. This one has a Wartime 1943 North Dakota Farm tag on the rear gate--she made her way to North Carolina.
Looked under the seat and scored a near perfect 1928 tag--Has been a very memorable day today!!!!!!!!!!!1

Great score! That wing is awesome, so funny!

  14. I am 5'-8" tall and could barely fit behind the wheel of my '28 Ford pickup without chewing on my kneecaps.

Know a guy in Southern Indiana that has been driving a Model A pickup for years. They call him Big John. I'm guessing he is about 6'3" and weighs about 290 lbs. Never heard him complain in all the years I've known him. He drives that truck every where.

I think that's a rare Shelby accessory spoiler. Nice truck.

Have had my '29 AA for more than 40 years. I'm 5'5" (29" inseam) 145 lbs-have lots of headroom but little leg room. Was my daily driver for 27 years until gas got to going up and up.
