just picked up this 62 Electra 225 last weekend. It's a ways from being "beautiful" but I hope to be driving in a couple o months. Then work on the beautful while I'm driving the hell out of it.
Just got this one the other day, haven't done anything to it yet except change the oil, fix a brake and drive it around. The wheels are ridiculous but I haven't got a proper set for it yet so shut up.
Someone in Michigan must have a photo of Paul Hattons 39 coupe black w/flames racing at Detroit Dragway in early 60's
forgot to post the finished product... some build pics can be found here: http://yarilscustoms.com/1959-buick/
I bought this one last fall and now have it torn down to add AC/heat/defrost, patch a rust hole in the p***. floor , new windshield, and get a new interior. These old Buicks are a blast.
I would love to post my Buick but maybe I am wrong about this site. Is all areas of it all about traditional Buicks and none about customs? I got torn up for showing pictures of my 47 Buick on that site so now I will give H.A.M.B. one more shot before I delete it.
It is indeed all the same narrow focus. You should have Read This First! when you signed up. "The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide. Thats right TRADITIONAL. If you've come here to discuss anything other than Hot Rods or Customs built in a style representative of 1965 or before, you've come to the wrong forum."
Here's my newest acquisition. Has a 455/TH400 drivetrain, power steering and power brakes. Other than that, it's pretty much stock with a lot of dealer installed options. I'm getting it in shape to drive locally, for now. In a few years, it will be my retirement project.
This little `41 Sweetheart in Suede is mi favorito. I don't know who built it but I'm pretty sure it's from OC Cali. Lo siento.
Yaril......Love your car. It reminds me of the night that my Dad brought his new Dark Blue '59 LeSabre Demo home from Quinlevan Buick in Milwaukee and loaded my Mother and three siblings into the car for a ride and a stop at Carvel for a cone. It seeems like a millenia ago, but I've always remembered the car. Please keep us posted on the build......Centurion9
