Hey gang, I hate to put this up so late in the evening like this, but tomorrow is Albert Eschenbaugh's yearly car show Bonneville racing fundraiser. If you have never been to this event I can't explain to you how cool it is! Anyway, my Buddy Ronnie Olmstead, Bodi and I are meeting at northeast corner of 7th street and Glendale at 7:15 tomorrow morning to caravan up to the show. We will pull out of the lot there in front of Pei Wei at 7:30 and drive up. If any of you would like to join our little trip, please just show up in that time frame. If you guys don't know who Albert is, he was in the sixties one of the winningest men in top fuel drag racing. Years ago he switched addictions and started running Bonneville in various streamliners and roadsters, all financed on the tightest of shoestrings. His latest is a car he and his buddies put together last year for a shot in the 350 mph range. This get together routinely pulls all the stuff you never see otherwise out of the woodwork, and has cool peripheral things like the Bloom drag racing photo collection on display. To show your car is a 20.00 donation, but what you will see on display and in the shop are more than worth that. Come and join us for an early morning drive!!!
I'll get some up tomorrow after I get in from Glendale. I just now finally ate my first meal since the donut I had at Albert's when Ronnie Olmstead, Bodi and I rolled in at 7:45... Ya, it's been that kinda day!
Hey gang, I'm gonna just kinda put all my stuff up in no particular order. It's 5:45 am and I'm getting ready for the Glendale swap, so no stories to this one. Later today I'll add more to my "Bucket of Ugly" thread, and tell a bit of the story.
Very nice. I can tell you guys, I'm getting the itch to move. I'm tired of the snow and cold here in NW Indiana. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Nice variety there, looks like a decent turn out. Appreciate the pics. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Looks like it was a fun day in the sunshine with lot's of very cool rides....Must be nice to live in the sunshine state and get the rod out in Jan. Cold as hell here in Nebraska with snow on the ground. Temp was +1 this AM
I was planning on going to the Glendale swap meet, but it's only 29 degree's here right now and the water pipes froze last night.
Bump one last time for one of the coolest human beings on this planet! Hot Rod Ron also has a thread on this get together as well.
Ugh. I need to pay attention to what's going on. It looks like I missed a great event. Thank you two for posting coverage.
Looks like a great show! Hopefully I'll be able to participate in these events once I move there next week. Definitely once I haul down my A coupe this spring. --- Posted from my steam-powered tablet...using the best Android app out there!
