I'm re-upholstering my factory bench seat. The back rest uses the familiar c clips, which are readily available. However, the bottom has different clips. The factory vinyl is folded under the outer lower frame and somehow tightly fitted into a narrow channel on the inside. Does anyone know where I can find the clips? And, how do I fit the new material into the channel again? I think if I had enough clips, the channel fitting would not be required. I thought about using hog rings, but the frame rail is too wide.

Also, what type and thickness of seat foam should I use? Maybe 2" medium on the rest and 3 to 4" high density firm on the bottom?

never mind my question about the clips...I found the same c clips are reversed and pushed into to channel...but input about the foam is appreciated
