Im new here and have gotten lots of help reading all the posts... Well, here is my question.. Recently got an automatic trans for my Y-block. The guy I got it from said it was out of a 1960 Fairlane... The tag is quite worn, but it does have a serial number... It is 59696. Also is it a 3 speed? or 2 speed? Thanks for the help in advance...

The 3 speed unit has a removable bell housing, the 2 speed Furdomatic is all aluminum and the bell and main case are one piece. It does however have a removable tail housing.
