great job dad !!!!! may I suggest .... http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_21024_21024 cuz you know once he drives it...he will want to make it faster
Cool torque converter. Did not know they made those. I have this one geared down right now until he can get use to it. Sanded down, primed and painted.
what ?? no picture of a time slip with the E.T. or MPH ??? first it will be the single hitter , next it will be a Kohler v twin 20 hp .. don't forget to make a side zoomie ..
Great job, your kid will be the envy of all is friends! The Torq-a-verter is a great thing to add later. It gives low range when taking off, and then increases ratio as rpms go up. Have one on my mini-bike chopper I built and was amazed how good it works.
also the belt drive quiets the driveline down a whole bunch , they use the torque convertors on the maintance golf carts at the plant I used to go to . they work real good and can get them up to speed real good too . ( enough to get us in trouble with safety and security for speeding )
With the "Little Rebel" all done, my boy was ready for his first run down the track. He made his debut at the Texas THAW this past weekend in a match race with Flathead Fever.
Hell of a day he will remember that for the rest of his life. Thanks also to the rest of the people that made that day possible.
Very nice workmanship and it's all done very clean. Always great to see a true fabricator creating engineering works. Jimbo
