Just joined the HAMB. I purchased a 51 Chevy 3100 about 2 months ago and am in the process of fixing the rusted floor and cab corners. Not sure about paint or such yet. I have also fitted it to a S-10 frame and plan a 383 stroker and 700r4 ****** to power the sled. Low, Fat fendered and fast is what I'm thinking . I have ordered all new windows, trim, patch panels, door handles and all body gaskets from LMC. I am also in the process of stripping the 4 layers of paint that are on it, I think the last one was put on with a brush . So that's what I have, glad to be part of the HAMB and look forward to useful discussions.

Well, been a while since a update. I have the sheet metal blasted and primed with epoxy primer, Frame blasted and primed also. I have changed course on the power plant and ended up finding a L92 from a Escalade with a 6L80 ******. Had the harness reworked and cam swap, lifters, intake etc on the motor. Have all the sheet metal fit up on the frame now. Getting ready for dis***embly and paint the frame. Looking for some 18 and 20 inch steelies to put on it. Any one have a suggestion where to get these?
Welcome from SoCal from another new guy. Just wanted to say I like your avatar photograph. Reminds me of my career. I spent nearly 40 years in the field of air pollution control for large gas, oil, and coal-fired power plants like the one in your photo. Gotta love those giant cooling towers. Dale
