X2. I cut out my door 1/4 windows to do this too since my regulators were missing and I didn't have gl***. I was going for the two lane black top look also but still haven't finished the car. Anyone with pictures please post!

I used the sliders that are used for display cabinets. The exruded aluminum was bought in 20' sticks and cut down and l made small tabs to mount them where the windows use to be.
Not the best tech article but l tried.

The top channel shows more because it does'nt hide behind the garnish.
As for the ends???...the tracks are as long as they can be before the doors curve. That denotes how long they are, if that makes sense?

    Sorry 'bout the poor description!!

Heres a pic of the homemade sliders I made for my 55 Chevy Twolane Blacktop style, I used dual tracks I got from a Marine / Boat supply website, comes in 8 ft. sections, also I think JC Whitney sells it too, I bought 1/4 " Lexan at Home Depot and cut the front sliders and the rear side windows . They turned out ok. I used dresser knobs for the sliding window knobs bought at Lowes.
