Does anyone remember the issue, probably 15+ years ago, of artwork for a 55 nomad with wood trim/panels on sides and regular car wheel opening in rear, instead of the factory radiused? I think it may have been Rod&Custom. Thanks, Paul.
If I am not mistaken this car was built by Steve's friend Bob Barnes. Seen it many times in the South Bay! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Bob did a similar build on a 2 dr. handyman wagon, not a nomad. I can see the illustration in my mind, just can't seem to find the mag it was in. Thanks for reply!
Ive searched the net myself to see if I could find what you are talking about and Ive seen a lot of his work but I cant find what you are lookin for either.
I know, I've looked over the net as well and see alot of his work, but can't find this one. Thanks for looking!
It is not my intension to complain because for one I dont pay to be here but I feel like when we just had one main forum there was more traffic on a subject like this and could have gotten an answer by now but the way it is there are less people with answers to a question helping cause even less traffic on each forum. Thats one of the main reasons I started hangin out here and drifted away from other forums is because of the quick responses coming from a lot of people and the broad range of ideas and subjects within 1 group but now that we have busted up, I feel like a group that has, Well...busted up. Dont kick me out Im just kind of sayin what I think Im seein. and yes I know this is the wrong place for this, just kinda got carried away and didnt mean to try and steal this post with a rant
you might be on to something... some peeps just click on to NEW POSTS and scroll it for the latest postings.
It is on page 49 of the July 1994 Rod & Custom in a Sketchpad article "Styling Ideas For woodies and Trucks". Bob Barnes was looking for a suitable candidate to do the conversion.
My name is Katherine Morris and I am an old friend of Steve Stanfords. My Brother , Sean Morris and I are in the first stages of finally bringing you what you have been waiting for. We are working on getting a Steve Stanford website and limited edition , signed, numbered prints. We started a Facebook page for him last night under Steve Stanford Designs and posted a few images of his rarely seen art. We have a lot more to share. Steve really appreciates all of your support. He spoke of your page yesterday and asked that I keep all of you guys in the loop. Your appreciation of him has not gone unnoticed, he may not own or use a computer but Steve is well aware of the kind words you guys have to say about him. Thank you all and please like us on Facebook. We appreciate feedback on what you would like to see, while we begin design work on his website. Katherine Morris
