Buick heat sinks for ford drums????

    SoCal use to make these a few years ago when Vern was still there, anyone know if anyone else makes these or has any, it's a shame, it looks as if it would actually look nice and be functional as a heat sink, just slop over your existing 40-48 ford drum. Plus they were only 225 a set,

  2. I doubt the Ford drums are cast with enough accuracy that you could make a "one size fits all" fake Buick piece. I wound think it might have a market, if you could make the details work.

    For them to work as a heatsink they'd have to have a pretty good contact with the actual drum, and over a pretty large area.

    Looks to me, those are nothing more than trim rings.
    Typical Streetrod ****, emulating something cool without really committing to it...

    And at "only" $225, they are about half the accurate replacement drums Coolhand was trying to get off the ground.

    Which seems like a much better deal, if and when he can find enough people interested to make a batch.
     
  4. Still manufactured by www.macspeed.com. Purely a dress up item for 40 - 48 drums. They don't fit pre 40.
