Hurtful there fellas, lets just take it easy.... Is it worse then some of the things done by Big Daddy Ed Roth? Not my cup of tea, but so outlandish as to be of interest. I don't care for 70's clothes but find them interesting and amusing...all good fun, or so I hope! It does have some very unique features which I hope to understand better. A little bit of back story I do know, the builder was a consultant for GM and as such had full access to Gm's parts bins, both production and experimental.

I have a call into some folks on these and they have information for me, 2 pm phone call....
I personally hope to have the chance to scrutinize the car and perhaps even drive it, really want to see what that steering is all about...

Yeah, I'm not saying it's some prized vehicle, but it's clearly something that had time and money thrown at it. Saying it is a parts car and worth nothing is just silly, that's all I was saying. Built for shock value? Maybe. No style or performance is in the eye of the beholder (do you even know what's under the hood). I have searched for a while and came up with nothing.

Now that's interesting...is there a name on a title we could look up in an old Who's Who?
The thing that rang my bell was the steering. Early '60's Detroit show cars were oft fitted with whacko futuristic steering systems like this; it looked more like factory lunatic than free-range lunatic to me. I wonder??
That kind of stuff was always in mags like Motor Trend and Car Life that got all of the Detroit handouts back then. I hope the dune buggy fenders came from some planet irrelevant to us here...

Second set of pics, the '60 vette head on; is that vintage rubber still in the wrapper, there on the right? and it looks to be a stash of headlights against the back wall.

might just be a capitol-letter SCORE! there.

I took one look at the steering "wheel" and could tell it was on there just for shock. And I don't see how anybody could be comfortable getting the thing over 15 MPH with that "wheel".

And parts cars aren't worth nothing. I bet there's many guys who would love to have the chassis, and the A/C setup that a few guys on here have recognized.

The steering has had me hunting all day. I did find this! But not GM...

  8. Interesting to note at 1:50 the Mopar and GM vehicles in the parking lot...

  9. Still trying to find the mag that had the steering system install in it. If I find it Ill post pics.

Even though it's been butchered, that Vette could possible be restored with new body panels. And that 60 would be sweet to have, too.

  13. Okay, 66 coupe(66 dash knobs) w/air, 68-73 vinyl seats/pattern, part of a 70-72 LT-1 or 454 hood scoop....big square headlights........I'm gonna guess it was built around 78 or 79. Somebody needs to save that thing ;)

The front fender additions look like Kenworth or Peterbuilt front fenders and headlight housings.

Would like to see it out in the light, maybe with a quick wash.

I think the custom 'vette would be fun.Take it to the purist shows just to watch them all get their knickers in a twist.I have some friends who spend all year detailing and agonizing over small things on some car to get Bloomington Gold. That s their deal and I respect it but cars like that drive them crazy and it's hilarious to watch.
I do have a warped sense of humor.

I heard a guy refer to a Corvette as a fiberglass kit car once.....hasn't been seen since

  17. No matter what it was built to be it's a monstrosity inside and out and that steering system is a nightmare!

  18. Gee dude, how do you really feel?

  19. Sorry guys, it's off topic - doesn't matter what it was based off of.
