Steering wheel ID

    I picked up this steering wheel a while ago the guy I brought it of thought it was a Mercury wheel but not sure, can anyone I.D it.

    pull the horn ring...remove the bullet and see what the emblem looks like.

    looks like a ford crestliner wheel with top part of horn ring cut off??

    I think the 61-6 ford trucks had a optional steering wheel that looks like that.

    Yes every shop should have one, you can watch your favorite sport/program and still work on your project.

    It's '56 or later if FOMOCO....that's when they went to 'dished' safety steering wheels. Crestlners were before that time.

    Not A crestliner I have one of them which is flat not dished like this wheel, the horn ring has not been cut.

    Looks the same except the horn centre on mine is bullet shaped ??

    Did you not read post #2 ?? I feel pretty certain the bullet is not original to this wheel! Remove the horn ring and take off the bullet.....there should be the remains of an emblem or name under it that will identify the wheel's origin.

    Ok did some research with the info given by fellow HAMB members looks like the wheel is a 1957 Lincoln Premiere with a custom bullet horn.
