Im new on here today, Heres a picture of my 55 Chevy 2 Dr. sedan I have been working on for about 6 years now, I bought it as an empty gutted out shell, put in a new one pc. floor pan, new trunk floor, new rockers, new rear quarters, a door, trunk lid, fiberglass doghouse, new front and rear windshield, 454 engine, trans, made the slider side front windows and rear side windows from lexan, made all the interior door panels, installed new carpet, newwiring harness etc. I still need to have the headliner installed, buy a new grill , new rear bumper and new door rubbers, and put the mufflers and homemade ladder bars on. I did it all myself even the primer rattle can paint job. We took it out of the garage last Thursday for the very first time and put it in the Motorama 1962 car show at The World of Wheels in Indianapolis, We ended up winning the Gold Double Rocket Road Rockets Choice Award, I was so happy to win anything at all with my first car and first show ever.
I saw your car in Indy. Nice ride. I took several pics to include in my large tri five gasser album. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Nice job congratulation on the trophy. Sounds like you have built a solid body on the 55. Another one brought back to life and saved. Ron
I really like the look of your car, it sits just about perfect. I'm just starting a 57 with a similar parts list. Do you have any pictures of your home made ladder bars you built? I am also looking for the length and mounting point you used as well as what you are using for springs. Thanks Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
