    Perfect score, you got lucky!

  2. From what I read a stock T spring may do the trick. I was going to pull a few leafs out of the pack and get the main reversed. Still trying to decide the best route to go. Thanks!

I reversed the A spring in my 29 roadster it dropped it one inch, but
it made it ride really hard. Put a T spring in it, ride is nice and it came
    down about two inches.

  5. Thanks for the info, my next step is to get the rear suspension apart.

What carb did you put on?

  9. I mocked up with a Ford 94 but I also have a 97 I can run.

  10. Not a ton of progress but something is better than nothing when it's 2 degrees out. Headlights are mounted

  12. Raised the body up this past weekend and took the splash aprons off. Torn on running with or without them. Also picked up a nice complete 32' chassis. Now I'm really torn.

Aprons on or off looks good either way. With your 32 frame you now have
the beginnings of a Bonesy Deuce.

Keep it on the A frame. I have a 30, I am not even sure if I want to lower it!

  16. Yeah, I think it looks pretty cool on the A frame. I tried buying the 32' frame a year ago and it never worked out until now. I'm gonna save the 32' frame for another project and continue on the direction I was going. Thanks for the input guys.

Simple- keep this one on the stock frame with the banger motor and get ANOTHER one for a flattie.I got a stock project car a couple of years ago and rebuilt it that way. I am having another motor done for it (4 cyl.) but it's "souped" a bit; some upgrades on the valves, pressurized oiling system, split "Red's" header, and a dual Zephyr intake with 2 97's. Car is fun to drive around the back roads now, but motor needs "freshening so I bought a second banger to "hot rod" THEN I bought a pair of 30-31 roadster rear quarters at a flea market, and started collecting parts for a second car (the rule of two)I've got a re-built 327 with a Powerglide and a 10 bolt posi rear for car #2. Just finishing up a coupe with a flat motor now, so into another project next fall(???) Good luck with yer new rig, it looks like a sweetheart. Mike from Mass.

  19. Decided to take the body off and clean up the frame and suspension parts while I had the engine and trans out. I am going to go through everything and make the underside of the car sanitary but leave the body as is for now.
Really need a bigger garage at home, things are getting snug but I couldn't have all this fun if I spend the money on the garage!

The problem is that Mustang in the way. Just think of all the space you'd have with that heap out of the way. ;)

  21. Haha, It would be hard to sell a car I have had since I was 15. Selling the mustang is out of the question. Putting my wife's car outside would gain me some space:D

I hear ya. There is a VW occupying space in my garage that I've owned since I was 15. Well, wife's car outside it is.

  24. Nothing to exciting on the 31' project. Took the frame and some misc stuff to the sandblaster. Wire wheeled the banjo and painted it. Dropped the rear main leaf off to a local spring shop to have it reversed.

  27. Got a good snow storm coming in right now. Hopefully a good reason to get my ass in gear and work on the engine for the 31'.

Man how do you work in such cramped quarters with all that junk in the way, you really should get rid of all those old cars you have sitting around in there! Looks great! Any big plans for the 4 holer
