Newbie to the HAMB! I went to college for automotive technology, worked as a mechanic for a few years, army, farming, mechanic again, now government employee. Been building cars since I was a teenager. Not really into the show and shine stuff. I like to build them to drive and have fun with. I don't like billet or wheels over 16 inches. I do like wide whites, pin up girls, tats and old junk yards. Pretty much self taught (college was a waste of time and a hazey memory). Hope to have my '47 Ford PU on the road this spring after a 2 1/2 year build to hit some cruises and smoke some tires! Haven't seen much of a hot rod culture here in Utah or maybe I'm just missing it. Let me know!
There are some bad ass rides here in Tooele....and they are at my place!! I know of one other guy here on the HAMB that lives in town and then there is the Utah group that has a bunch of real good guys. Check it out... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=20 PM me and we can meet up sometime..... Welcome to the HAMB
I'll get ahold of you some time. Do you know Jerry with the old International "rat rod"? I live just down the street from him if you do know him. Otherwise I haven't met many people in the rod culture since I've lived here. I'm usually spending all my spare time trying to finish my p/u. Like to see your rigs some time.
