No matter how I put the fingers in the 30" HF combo machine brake it still had an offset between the "pointy ends" so it made a jog in the bend. I clamped the bottom of the fingers with a small welding clamp with pads, drilled a 3/16 hole between the fingers about 1 1/2" up and put a 10-32 aircraft bolt and nylock nut in there and that corrected the situation. The fingers are relatively hard, but I had some "magic" drill bits, obviously CNC stuff, I got from a guy at the LARS some time back - he's the guy drilling holes through springs, etc. They work really well in this app. While the bolts might restrict some channel type bends, it sure makes it easier to do regular 90 degree stuff.
I always knew there'd be a "catch" to that HF brake. Thanks for the info. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
