Hi all, I have returned.... I have jumped back onto the truck somewhat. I had to reengineer the trans cross member to bring the back of the trans down and subsequently tilt the oil pan off of the R&P. Also, I was able to fab my new gas cap.

So now I am working through installing the gas pedal; i plan on using the one from the dakota but the cable is significantly long, so I have to figure out how to shorten it or use something else.

I am also looking at the air cleaner situation, because the engine is set back, I have some challenges getting an air cleaner in there. It isnt a huge problem, a 14" circular air cleaner will not fit by about 1/2", so I can run anything smaller w/o problem but I want it to be stylish. I was looking at those shotgun style or the gaser style think this would look pretty cool. Problem is that both of these are a little spendy, so I am thinking I might have to build something myself. I also like the oval Mopar style but I think space is an issue.

I'd run an open side type as tall & as wide as will fit.

i have a number of them, 2 that say "fuel" and one of the other non-fuel scripted one. One of them is for my Roadrunner which someone went through all of the trouble to fab in a charger style filler and perhaps one on my Cuda.

Sorry I have been absent for so long, but life took over. Regardless, I have managed to get some work done on the truck recently. Specifically, I was able to make a throttle bracket, alternator bracket, installed the gas pedal, and got the pulleys sorted out.

now I have to sort out the wiring, put the exhaust on, run the fuel lines, run the trans lines, get a drive shaft made, set the pinion angle, mount the radiator and fans, mount the trans cooler, etc... I also have to finish up the interior; build the trans tunner, install the seat, build speaker boxes, finish the floor, install the heater, instal some sound deadner, build a rearview mirror mount,.... as on it goes.. :)

Sometimes it does seem like its never going to end, doesn't it?

Hang in there, they are always built one piece at a time. Take your time, do each piece the best you can. (As I say this, do like I say and not like I do.) Gene

Appreciate the comments and I agree, it’s as Johnny Cash says; one piece at a time... :) The "up" side to the process is that it seems like for a long time it is almost overwhelming but then you turn a corner, put that one piece/thing in and all a sudden you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The issue here is to remain committed to doing the right things and not suc***bing to the "I'll fix it later" syndrome. This usually shows itself when you want to do one thing but don’t have the right parts but have something that would “do”. So far I have been able to keep “chugging” along, staying on plan and making decent headway.

Any Mopar-Ford type. I recommend WIX 51515 for most applications.

Beleive it or not, I have been actually working on the truck. Lately it has been confined to a lot of wiring which isnt really picture worthly (at least not at the moment). I decided to use some Painless power braid and have to say it is awesome stuff. Goes on pretty easy, protects the wires and allows you to access them if you want to. I will get some pics up soon when I get to a point that I think there is something interesting to get a picture of.

got a little done on the truck this weekend; got the seat installed and then turned to making a rearview mirror mount. After that I will work on the trans tunnel, then continue witht the wiring. I need to get a drive shaft made soon so I can close the issue, run the fuel lines, run the transmission cooler lines, then install/make the exhaust, install the radiator, hoses, etc.
