removing a crank shaft pullie

    i need help im taking a 235 apart and i can't figure out how to take the pullie of the crank shaft to remove the timing cover can anyone help :confused: if anyone has an idea please pm me

    might have to dig thru a lot of grease to find the bolt holes...

    If that engine has the funky pulley bolt that looks like it could be used to insert a hand crank first you have to figure out how to get that off and then use the puller. I had a 216 in the 50's with one of those bolts that had the ears broken off and don't recall how we got it off.

    the stovebolt engines I've seen with the crank slots have them built into the damper hub, there's no bolt to take off.

    O.K so all i'll have to do is put the puller on and pull off the pullie

    The center bolt needs to be removed first, of co****. Make sure you put the correct "utton" on the end of the puller shaft so as not to damage the hole in the center of the crank. It may require force the entire way off.

    235s do not have a bolt in the end of the crankshaft.

    will the pullie slide out theres a a funny looking bolt with a split on one side so with the puller will it slide out
