How do I remove the chrome lining and the instrument cluster on a 1946 Plymouth business coupe, I have a nos that actually works instead of the Old one.

    Thx from The Swede.

Remove inside windshield trim...Remove screws along top of dash and one on each side.. May have to undo speedometer cable to speedometer.. tilt dash out and remove small screws-clipe holding instrument cluster.

My car has a later column but I was able to swap clusters without removing the dash. The cluster is held in by the bright indicator on the top (chrome piece sticking through dash has a nut on back side) and two of the knobs on the bottom (mine aren't stock so I'm not sure which two they should be).
