air ride suspensions

    hey all im looking for info and ideas on adding air ride to my 56 f-100, with a volare front clip and a leafspring nine inch rear,

    no ones ever put airride under the rear of an f-100????

    Probably no answers because Airride is not popular here. I would go triangulated 4-link. That's what I did on my 40.

    I would lean towards the triangulated 4 link as well. And step notch the frame. You can get all the stuff from Gambino Customs. He can also get you all the info you need to get it done right.

    I'm all for low cars, but I just don't get laying a car on the ground....

    You can do air without laying it on the ground and looking broke.

    Triangulated 4-link. Ditch the Volare junk. The Volare has tortion bars, and will be more work than it is worth to try to retrofit bags to.

    Call Alex over at Gambino. See what he has for the front.

    I did the rear one of my cars with the triangulated 4 link on the rear and a big notch. I got the kit from Gambino Kustoms. They shipped quick and any questions were answered without a problem. Swap out your front clip for a M2 or a chevy metric. Then you just need to buy shock mounts and cups for your a-arms.

    ok cool dont wanna lay it on the ground , really im just looking for a nice smooth ride the volare will work fine for me, and its already installed , ive done 4 or 5 with volare and always liked it so maybe ill just do the rear thatll work with my new springs , and find some good quality front shocks

    Look at a 2 link set up. Way less bed floor cutting

    sounds good what year is your unibody ? i have a 62
