Looking forward to seeing where this goes. If the yellow grille shell is original to the first build, I think it'd be a shame not to run it.

Someone did a LOT of work on this beauty (in a good way, I love it) and there are no show pictures some where? Somewhere this car was in an indoor show, so much work, and so cool. I do like the welded doors and window covers:).

Few updates its time to pull the body and get started on the frame

I really love the car with the top on, but its really uncomforatble

ive been thinking of ways to get more leg room without raising the body up. I plan to cut down the middle x members and sink the floor down near the bottom of the frame

Okay breaking down the car its time to try out our new electric hoist

Jeff & Bob, you can do sort of a uni-body center section. Use something like 16 gauge sheet steel at the bottom of the frame rails for the floor, and reinforce that with rectangular tubing near the front of the seat and trans mount, where you don't need leg room, and behind the seat. if you have enough ground clearance, you can even place the floor below the frame rails. The driveshaft tunnel if made out of strong metal, can also add uni-body strength.

What ever you guys do, I bet it will be slick!

The frame is getting close I grafted 32 front half into my stock frame since the original front half was shot
Now to mock up the car again I got my wheels and tires mounted the front end is together going to make temp motor and trans mounts here is what I've been up to

I love this little roadster. It's coming together so awesomely and it's going to be one of those cars that is seared into our brains. So neat.

Very nice,I like everything but the grillshell, just too fat looking to me,I guess if it were mine,I'd keep the truck shell too,but would cut about 1in. out of the shell all around front to back to thin it up,so it looked liter=would also make nose to windshield shorter by the 1in.,;) just an ideas I'm passing along.
