1940 Chevy hood trim?

    Hi. I have a couple pieces of trim that are marked 1940 chevy hood. However its not like any hood trim i have seen on any 40's chevy. will someone please help me id these pieces of trim/moulding?

    I have attached an image to help.
    Please keep in mind what you see is all i know.
    I don't have part numbers for them.

  2. my first thot was they are the wings that go on each side of the front emblem ,
    but they look too short...and have 4 ribs, 40 Chevs only 3 ribs.

    They appear to be stainless steel trim for the top of 47 Ford tail light housings.

  5. yup, tailite trim for Fords

    Didn't the '41,'42, and '46 Chevs have that trim just below the rear tail lights? Or maybe not?
     
  8. ,...yeah, some did but it's rectangular in shape, and bigger that these.
