1941 Chevy drum brakes begin to lock up after driving in hot climates. I replaced the lines, rebuilt the master cylinder, changed the shoes, adjusted the brake adjustment rod and have no issues in the morning or evening. The pedal nearly hits the toe board in cold tempatures, however when I drive it in the afternoon the pedal has no play and I know the brakes are dragging. Any suggestions?

I had a similar issue years ago on an o/t vehicle with 4 wheel drums. turned out to be too little clearance in my m/c pushrod, and then after fixing that I had to readjust the shoes. Good luck. Greg.

Either your pushrod is to tight, our your master cyl is not returning all the way, or the return hole in the cyl is plugged up.

I had this happen once about 20 years again my 40. A little adjustment was all it took.
