'41 Ford vent window info needed.

I am ready to buy a vent window from a fellow HAMBer, but need to double check the application.
I have the '41 Ford Business Coupe. He has a vent window from a '47 Ford. Are the vent windows the same???

Bob, I thought you had that covered. the 41 business coupe that I cut up had a 47 door on one side. the handles may not match, but they are the same and use the same gl*** that I cut for you!
A friend Jim Chapman is helping me swap front suspension on my GMC says he has a friend in Bellingham with a 41 Ford. small damn world I say

I ran across a small problem with a vent window I bought from a fellow HAMBer. He had the style with the small twist handle, appx 1/2 inch square, not the 2 inch swing arm. I was not too concerned about this, so I bought it. After mounting it in the frame, I found that the small twist knob had a shorter reach than the longer 2 inch swing arm. The window will not lock. You learn something every day.
I could ask the seller to accept a return & refund, but I don't think that is quite right. He probably didn't know the difference either. The way I look at it , I bought it, I own it.
Anyhow, back to my quest, is the 1947 vent the same ? Do you have one that fits ?

I'll look thru my stuff, I sell so much, so often that it's hard to keep track of inventory, It's quite possible that you could just change handles on the frame you have. there is a small roll pin that holds the handles on

Bob, I got a 46 bis. coupe.Mine has the real small latches like the one you bought.I think those are only used for crank out windows.I think the long latches are for the push out vent windows.If that little latch is mint shape (no pits) I would be interested in it.

 

Our 46 has crank out windows and only has the small latch to lock it,no handle.

I am in need of a 1941 Ford Convertible right vent gl*** frame. Do you think you have one Jim? I also need the top of the door garnish for both doors.

hi folks,
sitting here in Germany and bought a 41 Ford business coupe. Now i am checking some spare parts. Most i can get at Mac's, i found. But i do not have a source for a vent window, driver side. The bhandle broke and i think i need to repair the complete frame, means need to replace it. Has somebody got an idea where i van find it?
