Short story long 3 guys broke into our house. Took about 7k worth of stuff and no homeowners. My ma came home in the middle of it, and they took off in 2 cars. Stuff is stuff, but I just noticed they got the ***le to my Harley Davidson. I'm gonna hit up the DMV in the am, but now I'm pissed off. Bike is still in my possession, but what can they do with a ***le?

Hopefully the ***le was in your name. If it was, then go get a duplicate and tell the police what was taken. They might just try to sell the ***le or come back for the bike.

  5. Holy **** man, I'm sorry this happened to you. Hopefully some of the stuff they took is identifiable so that when they inevitably try to hock it they get pinched.

Two years ago, some ******* meth head drove down my driveway in broad daylight while my wife and I were at work, broke into our storage sheds and took $2000 worth of gardening equipment. Long story short the dumb*** tried to go door to door selling the **** and eventually pawning it. He got caught within the week but I didn't get my stuff back for close to 7 months!!!

My advice to you is to stay in constant touch with the officer on your case and do some legwork of your own. Go door to door and talk with your neighbors and call pawn shops with descriptions.

    Good luck brother!!

A duplicate ***le will cancel the previous ***le so get one quickly.

Call the police, get it (with vin#) entered on the police report, do not wait for the DMV to do it. Plus go to the DMV and notify your insurance agent. Take pictures of Harley with one of the vin# also do***ent date and time of pictures. The scenarios are endless here

Nothing as long as you made a police report and file for a lost/stolen ***le. This is ***uming the bike is in your name and on the ***le already. They would need to see the bike in person for a ***le loan so your ok there. The only thing I could think of might be a problem is if someone shows up with a fake bill of sale and claims you sold them the bike and gave them a ***le and refused to give up the bike itself. They would need to know how you sign your name correctly so they could forge your signature. If it was a robbery though I doubt they would show there faces. It's probly garbage to them.

A lot of sound advice..but talking to the investigating officer and the DMV would be priority one. HRP
