Due to crazy cir***stances, our latest edition of "Tech Week" has been a little dis-organized to say the least. This is due to two main issues really: 1. We haven't had a running tally of tech threads to keep you guys updated on the event. This is my fault. Cir***stances, ya know? In any case, we now have one... And it's this very thread you are reading (see below). 2. Also, folks have been a little unsure of themselves as to what forum to post their tech thread in. This is due to the new forum layout which that doesn't quite "click" yet as we are working on a full redesign to make it all work (coming soon hopefully). Anyway, you may post your tech thread in whatever forum you feel it will be most relative. For example, if you tech thread deals exclusively with period hot rod tech, you would post it here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=57 Or maybe your tech thread deals with body modifications on a period custom. You would put it here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=58 Or maybe your tech thread deals with something that is more traditionally "inspired" than it is period perfect. In that case, it would go here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=60 Note: If you post a new tech thread please use the words "Tech Week" in the ***le and please post a link to that thread as a reply to this one. I will come in daily and re-organize the list to keep us all organized. .......... Whew... It seems more confusing than it is. Promise. And soon, this will all be sorted out for good. Until then, we are extending tech week. You now have until February 28th to get your tech week thread entered. So, have at it... and have fun. Here is our nominated list of tech posts thus far: Tech Week 2014: How to make a firewall dish with hand tools *Tech Week* twin plug *TECH* Model A patch panels with a $27 power hammer *TECH* Make a Gauge Tester/What-Sender-will-work-with-my-dumb-gauge Thingie How to... If you haven’t already, take some time and check out their line of metal working tools as well as their line up of metal working cl***es that have become REALLY high regarded. 2. EMS Auto. Another long time supporter that has also (obviously) been very generous with us by providing some serious incentive for tech week contributors. Support these folks. They support you. 3. Gear Drive. Matt is a good pal to all of us and makes some of the best damned lake headers in the country. Want proof? Win this damned thing and get a free set for your SBC.

There are some great tech posts here, keep 'em coming boys and girls. Thanks again to Baileigh, EMS and Gear Drive for stepping up and keeping Tech Week going again. Stuff like this keeps the HAMB great. Aside, Kiwi Kev's Ten Homemade Tools thread appears to be from 2007 (still some great stuff though).
Harv, the only reason I didn't list yours was that they were simply impossible to get to without registering on another site. Sorry.
"Whew... It seems more confusing than it is. Promise. And soon, this will all be sorted out for good. Until then, we are extending tech week. You now have until February 28th to get your tech week thread entered. So, have at it... and have fun." Ryan's quote
No drama. As long as the HAMB gets to share the info and it's of use to someone, I'm happy . A lot of the Aussie guys with early Holdens have found it useful, though the info is generic enough to apply to a broader spectrum of rodder. Some guys can access and read the info on the SCRIBD site without having to join up, others can't. I've tried to upload pdf files of the three guides to the HAMB, have tried saving them as small pdfs and then uploading, and have even tried zipping them and uploading the zipped file... sadly no joy after multiple attempts. I learnt three new swear words though . If anyone has an urgent need for the pdf files, I'm happy to email them a copy (PM me an email address). Cheers (and thanks to Baileigh, Gear Drive and EMS for making this happen), Harv
I guess I'm at a loss. I looked for rules/instructions but couldn't find them. So I can't submit this because it's an older post? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Here's mine..... Ryan, thanks for the chance to play! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=865793
Great idea Ryan and crew. I was wondering what you guys were going to do since there weren't too many entries. I'm excited to see what the other evil minds of the HAMB come up with.
Hello again! There is my another tech week entery: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9559981
Correct. The tech thread has to be a thread started during the event. Sorry man, we only cover traditional hot rods and customs here.
I got bored and did another... Painting woodgrain... Still have some bugs in some pictures but im working on it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=866060 Thanks to everyone who puts on tech week... Its pretty fun!
