Started a thread this morning. Had no problem, on first page uploading pictures, using the "browse" feature. When it came to the second post picures, from same file, in my computer would not upload. Message stated:

    pop up states:
"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

I had that happen to me once, and the problem turned out to be the file size of the picture was too large. It may not be the case here, but when reduced the size of the picture, it worked.

If you are using a microsoft program to drive your computer then all you do is store your photo's in the MY PICTURES section.

To resize them go to the START box in the lower LH corner and open it.
Once open place the cursor on ALL PROGRAMS then place your cursor on MICROSOFT OFFICE and then move your cursor onto MICROSOFT OFFICE TOOLS and from there move your cursor onto MICROSOFT PICTURE MANAGER and click on it.

Once the new screen has come up click on EDIT PICTURES, then highlight the pictures (by left clicking on them by holding down the SHIFT key or the CTRL key which ever works best for you.) then by clicking on the RESIZE tag (I usually also click the AUTO CORRECT tag first) and the in the CUSTOM width x height boxes I place the following dimensions being 640 x 480 and then move the cursor down and click on OK.

Once all that is completed then move your cursor upto the top RH corner and click on the SAVE box next door to the shortcuts box or hit CTRL + S.

After the save has occured place your cursor over any picture and a small box will appear that tells you how many KB the size of that picture is now.
This can also be done prior to resizing and the box will tell you the size prior to the resizing actions.

Once that business is sorted, when you need to attach pic's to your thread use the ADVANCED at the bottom of your reply page and click on the paper clip icon which allows you to browse thru your MY PICTURES folder and by clicking on the pic's of your choice they will attach one at a time.

When you are done, just click on the down load ****on and wait for them to load followed by closing the window when directed and you are finished.

I hope this helps you and any others struggling out there...

Unfortunately, photobucket pic's are not HAMB friendly as they drop off after a while and hence no historical record to help future HAMB searchers etc.

Download the old fashion way and help preserve good hot rod info...

My linked pics hosted on Photobucket don't seem to have dropped off yet.

This image was posted to the HAMB back in Nov. of 2007 and the link still works fine. But then I've been careful not to delete the photo from Photobucket, or move them into a different album, or change the file name, which would break the existing image link on the forum.

Here's the original post with all the image links still intact....

That may have worked for you, but there are a large number of old Hamb threads that would have or did have great info except that today they are missing photos.

I repeat, for that reason Photobucket ****s and as noted previously the direct post method works better and photos stay put.

I don't find that the case,I have gone back and found photos I posted several years ago.

I think guys start shuffling photos around in different albums and the links get broken or the delete something.

I just keep adding on different headings with no problem.

I guess whatever works for the individual. HRP

A few individuals having success with the photobucket method still leaves numerous threads with lost pic's, sad but true.

So for the sake of the HAMB as a historical record the only real way to preserve this information is to direct post.

All committed HAMB members should consider using this method as a priority.

There should be enough information posted here now for folks to be able to follow how to direct post...
