I have a modified version in progress. take a look at my album and thread below. I'll have a couple mor pics up soon.
Kenny "Choprods" chopped my '40ish cab a while back. Right around the same time MERGE did his. Kenny will surely chime in to drop his knowledge. But my take is there is a 100 ways to skin a cat, but Merge's way opens the door to a whole lot of work on the back of the cab. Not saying its a bad way, just saying it is certainly a more complex way. Mine got 6"s out of it, it went straight down and the roof got cut open and stretched right infront of the back where it drops down. Here is the only pic I have online. I could take some more, but all the work is covered with DP90 now. You can see the work on the A pillars, and you can see the green filler at the back of the top of the cab where the stretch went in place. And you can see on the doors where the 6"s came out in the back.
i agree 100 diff. ways thats why i kinda wanted to start this thread so i could figure out a way or two to do mine. much thanks guys!
to: 99tolife,I have a 41 chevy truck 4 inch chopped top, double zd and stretched frame, now stretching the doors 6 inches. The top is already done now working the doors and rear cab.Look at album/// 41chevypromod
I chopped my '40 (same cab) 3.5" below the back window and laid the back of the cab forward rather than laying the windshield back. See my Avatar.
