Whoa! Elspock84 you are into some serious business with these posts. That gold\black board w/flower panel... is that a stencil? I want to do lace panel on my 61 Cad roof but as soon as one ventures out of "lace" and into the "stencil" world, things go all Martha Stewart real quick. Where did you find that stencil?

Cool good old days. I remember Himsl flaking toilet seats and cob-webbing cars along with Winfield and Hasse doing their thing and Al Lindstroms metalflake and cob-web 29 RPU

    Jack Pine...
That's where I find most of my lace, thrift stores....actually I have several minions on constant search for it at em. I have one of "The Last Supper" that I'm waiting for something perfect to use on.
Look for lace curtains more than table cloths if you are doing a roof...table cloths tend to be thicker material and don't always transfer well. The thinner the lace the better. Unless you're like me and doing several different panels on your roof. Even the thicker table top lace usually has some good thin detail that is perfect for smaller panels...

Exactly!! Garage sales and estate sales are gold mines for lace curtains.

Does anyone know what magazine and month this car appeared in the late 70's? I think it had a 12:1 440 on it with a velocity stack...

    Anyone?

Hey, Lownslow. "Quick panels" ... I like those colors. Can you share what you used?
What is going in those two center panels presently unoccupied ?

I have been tossing around leaving them or doing a little lace work. As far as the colors the copper color is a slightly modified version of a 2000-2006 Opel color called Caprigelb Mica. I put a real small flake over top of that. The deep red is a pearl white base, Black pearl shadows and red candy. Its all being buried under red candy next.

Thank you guys it was a lot of fun to play with. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1395286061.878176.jpg the two tone insets between the moldings on the side of the Edsel are red candy with silver flake. We did this for my 17 year olds project
