I was wondering if anyone has welded a cracked Buick drum. They are called Aluminum, but I have read all sorts of things about the way they were made and materials. If they are true Alu. then no problem. Just concerned about other alloys.

Even if anyone has, doesn't sound right no matter what they're made of.

No welding on any brake drum no matter what material it's made from!

It is in the bolt area rear drum very fine crack. I am a certified tig welder and this looks like no big deal. Just concerned about the material. Looking for another anyway.
