2014 LA Roadster Show Cross Country Trip

Talked with Chad Adams today (Adams Hot Rods..Calhoun, Ga.)...don't know how many, but they're going to try and hook up somewhere on the way.....Also, I'll get the Headlight decals and windshield banners mailed out tomorrow

I've been looking at different routes. I'm thinking route 80 out from Maryland and route 40 back. But I'd like to get some driving done on the loneliest road (rt 50) in Nevada too. But it's all subject to change and if I get the 40 back together in time!

Where is this road located.......and Don (da34guy), are we going down it on our way to LARS

 

That's an east / west highway in central Nevada, been on it a few times.
Great road in the middle of BFE if ya want 2 open er up for miles and miles and miles.
We won't be anywhere close to it Donnie.

 

We drove that road in 1978 on the way back from MERCED NSRA. Started out from RENO, ended up in UTAH. Saw a sign that said No gas for 115 miles, also didnt see many other cars. Had to wait for cows standing in the road. Nice scenery if you have plenty of time. Henry

Was on that road bout 3 years ago,
thimk the same herd of cows is still out there,
hit a "Fresh Pattie" about a buck ten.
Took 5 -6 miles for the smell 2 go away.

Why drive anything else to the "Roadster Show" but a roadster.
Got the top from Rodwell, gonna put it on 2day
The 3 winder will probably B GONE by then anyway

 

I liiikeee itttttttttt...............................Love those Rodware Windshields.......I'm just too cheap to spend the money..........Finally got hood sides on mine....I'll take some pictures later.

I did the Lsru last year in a 48 Chevy. From ontario, California to Austin best time I ever had. Wish I was doing it again this year.

The guy backed out on buying my 15x10's and tires so I've decided to just p*** up on the deal for now........the wind could blow from a different direction tomorrow and my mind could change...............right now I have everything in place for the trip to LARS, so I hate to start making changes.......I have both the 5 Window and the Roadster ready, but planning on taking the Roadster
