I have searched online for an hour and I can't find ANY info on this little cart I just found. Anyone know anything about it?...how old is it? It's cooler than ****...art deco..ish.
I wanted to go to the garage journal and search for PF stuff, but my user name and p***word here won't let me in. Do I have to join that site too?
The tool that is patented doesn't necessarily tell when the cart was made..but the newest patent is probably from just a few years before it was made. So, figure around the time of the war...or just before, or after.
patent search only revealed the date that a tool was filed for, and that was 1940, so they probably built this cart then to house the tool? So it's 1940ish.
I don't know anything about it, but I want one!!!!! This would be the koolest cart to pinstripe out of!!!!
That's very cool. I'd build in a propane grill on top with a mini fridge underneath, for garage get togethers.
Got 1 just like it Larry, My dad probably bought it right after WW2, when he opened his body shop. Still have all the pumps, rams and accy's in it also. Just used it last week on a little pushin on a frame rail I had 2 tweek.
Sorry Toot...Jason Smith has already called first dibs when I sent him the pics....maybe he'd let you rent it.
They originally came with several rams... Including a unique pull ram with several different forged steel s****s for getting into tight areas....also two heavy forged steel frame flange tools. I used the flange tools just last week at the collision shop I work for...The other guys call 'em " Old Man Tools" but damn, they still ask to borrow them!! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
