hello I,ve just retired and now have time to build a (hotrod) project that I,ve been wanting to do for years. Ive been working on cars since 11 years of age, have welding ,sheet metal and engine experience. so now I,m looking for ideas for a old style hot rod any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry to mention this, but your use of the phrase "rat rod" is most definitely not welcome here. If you had spent a bit of time viewing posts by others then you would know this. Rat rods are **** boxes. If you want to "fit in" here then your need to redo your intro and omit the offending phrase. After doing that, spend a bit time seeing what this site is all about. Otherwise, you will be flamed and probably go away.
Welcome from Virginia. Good luck with building your hot rod. A lot of traditional hot rods get tagged as rat rods by those that don't understand what's going on. I, myself use to think rat rods were cool because they started out being somewhat traditional but then people got crazy with them. I had a real deal hot rod truck built in 1957 that many would have called a rat rod because they really don't understand. We all hope you go in the right direction with yours. You will find a lot of helpful information here. Ron
